My name is Bob Ward and I am a retired graphic designer/print production artist. I have worked for commercial printers, marketing departments, stationary companys, international banks, ad agencies, & benefit administrators. With over 40 years in the graphics busness my last employers were;

My Photography

Today, I am exploring my creative side by continuing my passion of photography. Now using my Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, I have incredible zoom and digital capabilities with the camera on this phone. Being constantly inspired by my environment, I am constantly taking pictures and learning new techniques while developing my own individual photographic style. I have particular interest in local view photography for the tourism industry.

All images are for sale and with a printing partner I can pass down great discounts of my images printed to canvas, with or without a thin frame. Be sure to check out my different photography pages on this website.

Things have sure changed since I first studied shooting, developing and printing black and white photography back in 1978. Studying for my BFA, Photography was my minor study (Graphic Design was my major), back at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA. Unfortunately the college no longer exist and the art program is now part of the UMass Dartmouth's art curriculum.

These days, my iPhone has taken the place of my Nikon D-50 digital camera. After several fails with the Nikon D-50 and utilizing the compactness, availability, excellent camera lens and the ability to quickly take and download image files to my MacBook pro, I have gravitated to the iPhone with its excellent camera features. Because the iPhone fits in your pocket, one can take a picture at a moments notice or impulse. And with the advent of social media it has become customary to share images online for quick acknowledgment or delivery.

Roslindale Open Studios Call For Artists

Artists are sought for participation in the Sixth Annual Roslindale Open Studios. This two-day art event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 6 and Sunday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All media are welcome including, painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, photography, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, music and jewelry.

Roslindale Open Studios takes place in multiple group spaces, local business spaces and home studios. Non-residents are welcome. Deadline for artists’ applications is July 16. For more information and application, visit roslindaleopenstudios.org
