My Photography

Today, I am exploring my creative side by continuing my passion of photography. Now using my Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, I have incredible zoom and digital capabilities with the camera on this phone. Being constantly inspired by my environment, I am constantly taking pictures and learning new techniques while developing my own individual photographic style. I have particular interest in local view photography for the tourism industry.

All images are for sale and with a printing partner I can pass down great discounts of my images printed to canvas, with or without a thin frame. Be sure to check out my different photography pages on this website.

Things have sure changed since I first studied shooting, developing and printing black and white photography back in 1978. Studying for my BFA, Photography was my minor study (Graphic Design was my major), back at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA. Unfortunately the college no longer exist and the art program is now part of the UMass Dartmouth's art curriculum.

These days, my iPhone has taken the place of my Nikon D-50 digital camera. After several fails with the Nikon D-50 and utilizing the compactness, availability, excellent camera lens and the ability to quickly take and download image files to my MacBook pro, I have gravitated to the iPhone with its excellent camera features. Because the iPhone fits in your pocket, one can take a picture at a moments notice or impulse. And with the advent of social media it has become customary to share images online for quick acknowledgment or delivery.

The winter of 2021 in the Arnold Arboretum

Winter got a head start this season with our first snow in October (2020), with leaves still on the trees, Boston received 3-4 inches of snow. Here are a couple pictures from the Arnold Arboretum in Roslindale capturing the fall foliage against the snowy landscape.

A walk in the first week of February through the Arnold Arboretum after a fresh blanket of snow is like being in a winter wonderland, but still in the city! Such a beauful place so close to home.

Another stroll into the Arnold Arboretum entering through the Mendum Gate in Roslindale.

Sledding on Peters Hill.

A trip to new york city — Christmas 2019

A recent trip to New York City displayed a whole new big apple skyline for me with the addition of the mid town tall and thin towers in what is called Billionaire's Row. It has been almost 5 years since I visited the city and I was amazed and marveled at the engineering that allows these building to be so tall and thin. Here are a few pictures from my trip and a diagram depicting the new towers with their names on the new "Billionaire's Row".

You can find more information about Billionaire's Row by viewing following B1M video links;

Here are some of my photos taken from my recent trip to new York City illustrating how tall and slim New York City buildings are becoming.

My visit to Brazil, July 2019

My recent trip to Brazil included desinations to the third largest city named Belo Horizonte, the old colonial city of Ouro Preto; both in the state of Minas Gerais. Also a quick 2 hour airplane ride to the State of Baihia to the historic city of Salvador and the beaches just north of there; Praia do Forte.
